Like any mom, I love giving toys to my girls for Christmas and their birthday. I love going through the stores, thinking about their unique personalities, and picking out toys that I think will suit them best. I love getting educational toys, and books, and stuff that is just plain fun. And, my girls like playing with their toys. But, those toys aren't necessary for a good time. The cherubs also enjoy:
I knitted a toy elephant for my niece for Christmas. It turned out very well, I think.
My kids didn't care too much for the finished product, however. They were more interested in it when it looked like this:

The elephant is ADORABLE!! Unfortunately, Ellie liked the headless version better, too. She pointed to the picture and started laughing hysterically: "An elephant butt, Mom!!" Yup. Potty talk is huge in this house. :)
I think that shows your kids are highly imaginative.
I love that elephant!!!
I can't believe you made that by hand...it looks so perfect, it appears machine made!
The elephant looks wonderful!! And I love your children's creativity:)
Karen, I love it! Sette is going to go bonkers. AND I'll have you know bedtime took extra long tonight because she had to have her horse & "her" dog in just the right places in her bed. the horse goes next to the wall, in case you're wondering?!
nothing like a wastebasket, bouncy mattress or headless elephant for a guarenteed good time. cute!
